Meet Dr. Ryan A. Smith
Ryan A. Smith, D.C. graduated from Virginia Polytechnic and State University (Va. Tech) with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1991. With a deep calling for personal service and belief in natural health care he attended Life University to change lives for the better without drugs and surgery and graduated with Cum Laude honors in 1999. While in clinical practice for over 11 years he has had the opportunity to help all types of patients; from babies to the elderly, athletes to the severely acute and from slip and falls to personal injury patients. Over that time, he has continued to study new techniques and systems to help his patients get better faster and more completely. That has lead him to advanced training in Spinal Correction not only in Pettibon Technique but Chiropractic Biophysics as well. From his athletic background, one of his personal interests has always been nutrition and supplementation to promote better health. Dr. Smith understands that you can not fix what you can not measure, so he sought out and has learned Functional Blood Chemistry Analysis, Functional Endocrinology, Mastering The Thyroid and the proper use of diet and supplements to aid the body in healing itself. Acknowledging that every cell in the body is 100 percent dependent on the nervous system to function properly, in 2010, Dr. Smith began studying Functional Neurology with the prestigious Carrick Institute of Graduate Studies in pursuit of becoming a Diplomat of Chiropractic Neurology. With his unique combination of postgraduate training, Dr. Smith enjoys helping not only those patients suffering from acute pain, but also those patients with chronic conditions like Fibromyalgia, Diabetes, Hypothyroid, Peripheral Neuropathy, Multiple Sclerosis and ADD/ADHD to name just a few.
